Dry weather in Missouri is causing foundation problems with many Missouri houses. Stacy Covitz has more from Jefferson City.

Foundation problems in Missouri homes are so bad, there's a company in Jefferson City to fix them.

Sharon Martin from Foundation Recovery Systems says sinking soil may cause the foundation problems.

Contents: Martin says if the soil sinks, the house will sink. This causes the doors and windows to not shut correctly because the foundation will twist.

Martin says there is nothing home owners can do to prevent sinking soil. If owners think their foundation is shifting, they should contact a local repair company. From the state capitol, I'm Stacy Covitz
