Some Republicans are calling Governer Carnahan's scheduled meeting with a lobbyist for the Missouri Catholic Commerce a "smokescreen." Kristin Marinec has that story from Jefferson City.

Carnahan is trying to keep the legislature from overriding his veto of the abortion bill. He will meet with anti-abortion lobbyist Louis Defeo next week.

Some Republicans are criticial of Carnahan. Republican Senator Steve Ehlmann says the governor's planned meetinf with Defeo is a last-ditch effort.
