Republicans set new agenda for 1999 session

intro: After coming out of Tuesday's elections without posting any gains in numbers, Republicans in the state legislature say their focus next session will be on tax cuts and education. Lee McGuire is in Jefferson City with more.

House minority leader Delbert Scott says a 300 million dollar tax cut will top the Republican agenda when the legislature convenes in January.

But on the Democratic side, newly-elected Senate majority leader Ronnie DePasco says he doubts that state Republicans will be able to come up with a plan for turning talk of a tax cut into reality. In Jefferson City, Lee McGuire, KMOX News.
