The Senate's top leader says rebuilding Highway 21 is long overdue

Earlier this week, Congressman Dick Gephart spoke at a rally urging officials to rebuild a deadly stretch of Highway 21 in Jefferson County south of Saint Louis. Gephart's efforts bring positive reaction from a top state legislator as Beejal Patel gets reaction from Jefferson City.

The Senate's top leader, Bill McKenna said he and many other legislators agree that Highway 21 needs to be rebuilt and that the project is long overdue. McKenna, a Jefferson County Democrat, says he is happy that Gephart is speaking out.
