House stalls on budget

With less than 10 hours left to pass the budget, Missouri lawmakers stalled on the issue of family planning funds.

Beth Bentley has the story from Jefferson City.

State lawmakers have until 6PM tonight to pass the final version of the budget.

But even under the time constraint, last night, the House rejected part of family planning funding that would grant money to organizations like Planned Parenthood.

St. Louis representative Paula Carter argued that the move would put women's health in jeapordy.

Conservative representatives said, however, that funding was so little planned parenthood would not see much of a loss.
