Missouri Representatives Reject A Raise

After legthy debate, Missouri house legislaters vote to reject their own pay-raise. Jennifer Horton has the story from Jefferson City.

After over three hours of debate, Missouri House Representitives voted to adopt a resolution that rejects their own pay raises.

Yet, most representatives spoke against denying themselves the raise.

State Representative Pat Dourghtry says it's either a bigger salary or face losing future law-makers.

Representative Mike Schilling spoke in favor of rejecting the raise... saying the money was too much too fast.

The resolution now goes to the state Senate.
