Speed Limit Bill Sent to Governor

The speed limit bill has finally passed the Senate and is now racing towards the governors desk. Conrad Jungmann has that story from Jefferson City:

If the governor acts as quickly as legislators expect, you'll have to drive a lot slower than you might have under the old law.

The Senate broke the fillibuster on the bill that will keep limits below 1974 standards. This means that expressway limits will go up to 65, instead of 70.

Bill sponsor Danny Staples, says limits may change rapidly:

The only question that remains is which rural expressways will be picked for the top limit of 70 mph.
