Since September is back-to-school month, Missouri senators are taking a closer look at problems in the educational system. Adam Czerwinski has this report from Jefferson City.
This week, a group of senators formed a new committee to study high school graduation rates in Missouri.
Butler Senator Harold Caskey is on the committee. His aide, Kim Green, says Missouri ranks poorly in terms of students who complete high school.
Green says the committee will look for feedback from schools with solutions.
The senators will also look at whether they should change laws to make sure kids stay in school until they graduate.
From the state capitol, I'm Adam Czerwinski.
