One of the biggest political ramifications may involve the Secretary of State's race.

For it was incumbent Democrat Bekki Cook who stopped House Republicans from defeating Bob Griffin as House Speaker -- who now is under federal indictment.

Ever since then, Republicans have used that as campaign issue against Cook.

But her campaign manager Susan Markham expressed little concern on the day of Griffin's indictment:
