A public request by the St Louis Police Deparment to beef up its mounted patrol has been answered by the state.
Adam Czerwinski reports from Jefferson City:
The Department of Natural Ressources has reevaluated its need for horses.
So while that's going on...D-N-R has donated its two only horses to the St Louis squad.
Deparment spokesman Sue Holst says these horses have been trained to work at special events.
Sue Holst says that St Louis Police Department will use them in the same way.
