President Clinton's many visits to Missouri are part of an effort to win a swing state in the November presidential elections. But it's not the only reason his showing is big in the show-me-state. Kimberly Lohman reports from Jefferson City.
Democratic officials say Clinton leads candidate Dole by atleast thirteen points in Missouri. So why is Clinton campaigning so hard here?
Democratic National Committee Communications Director David Eichenbaum says Clinton's solid lead could help win key congressional seats.
Eichenbaum says the Democrats have their eyes on former Republican Congressman Bill Emerson's open seat.
Eichenbaum says he is optimistic that Democrats will win a majority of seats in the House and Senate.
From the state capitol, I'm Kimberly Lohman.
